Just for the record I don't often draw fanart. I'll draw pictures based off a series but not of the series itself. I personally think that fanart is a limited venue; that people should be inspired not copycats.
This is not to say I don't like fanart, I do, and on occasion I will draw it. But recently my picture of Prince Phobos from W.I.T.C.H. has exploded my message box and I can't help but feel a little...rankled. I'm glad it's getting attention because I worked very hard on it, but I worked very hard on my other drawings as well and they never got that kind of attention. They're not fanart after all.
The point is, I know it happens, I know it will keep happening, and no amount of whining will change the fact... but I really wish original art got a little more attention.

:giggle: I love tradish media - markers especially. ^^
Yeah, I'm self taught with markers, figured out how to layer to get the desired color. I'm learning with computer coloring and inking etc. but I find it difficult and would rather have hands on, not point click etc.
And yep! I agree with that ^^ traditional art XD

Thank you! I do love my markers. :giggle:
It does make me dressed though, that so many just use software to paint now. I've had so much classical(?) training that using computer arts is actually pretty difficult for me.
I'm getting better but I like to do my art by hand more than anything.
